HC Assistant Job Description
We are looking to employ an HC Generalist with outstanding administrative and communication skills. An HC Generalist is expected to be a conceptual thinker with superb organizational and time management skills. You must be reliable and should accurately follow instructions with the ability to multitask and acclimatize in a fast-paced environment.
HC Assistant Responsibilities:
- Support all internal and external HC related inquiries or requests.
- Maintain digital and electronic records of employees.
- Serve as first point of contact for HC Dept
- Assist with performance management procedures.
- Schedule meetings, interviews, HC events and maintain agendas.
- Coordinate HC training sessions and seminars.
- Assist with orientations and update records of new staff.
- Produce and submit reports on general HC activity.
- Assist disciplinary procedures
- Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews.
- Keep up to date with the latest HC trends and best practices.
- Any other related duties as required by the business.
HC Assistant Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related qualification (preferred)
- 2 years of experience as an HC Assistant (essential)
- Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
- Effective HC administration and people management skills.
- Full understanding of HC functions and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
- Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, Office 365 and related business and communication tools.
- Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Work availability should be; Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
